While Aidan is happy to be home for Christmas, being there has suddenly made him realize all the things he can no longer do. He can't chase Pumpkin, the cat, and pick her up. He can't go downstairs, he can't go outside in the snow, or run next door and play with his friends. He can't go back to school. He can't even go to the bathroom or get out of bed by himself, etc.
While in the hospital, his inability to move freely was all taken for granted, but suddenly, at home, he realizes how much he has lost, and how far he has to go to regain what he has lost. He is feeling this sense of loss and needs God's grace and help to work through the stages to accepting the fact that he will need to work hard and long to regain his ability to move.
A few days ago Aidan experienced his first full day without a single seizure! That was a great milestone, and we thank God for this improvement. But the next night he had a long, hard seizure and he felt very discouraged again.
During the day he is bright, cheerful and smiling. He works at his exercises and presents a positive attitude. But he still struggles emotionally. He sometimes wakes up crying, not knowing what he was crying about. Aidan needs emotional as well as physical building up. Pray for this too.

We do continue to pray - for Aidan and ALL of his family! We were so happy that Aidan was able to go home for Christmas - even though it has highlighted for him some of what he has lost. It is so great for this precious family to be together again after SO long apart! Thank you so much Jack for posting these great updates! We thoroughly enjoy the news and the pictures. Love to all, the Currys
