First Full Day at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, Looking Good!

The Glenrose is huge, (to the left behind the spruce tree) but the Paediatric Wing is only three floors. Aidan is on the second floor of the pale yellow building in the upper right. Yes, there is PLENTY of snow on the ground and ICE on the highways!

Today, Friday, was an active day for Aidan. Some assessments in the morning. At 9:00 AM, the physiotherapist scratched the skin on his right shin and Aidan couldn't feel it. She did it again six hours later and he said, "You are scratching just below my knee!" Another little step forward. Not a a milestone, but maybe a footstone.

Also he can now sit on the edge of the bed, lean backwards and pull BOTH his legs up on the bed WITHOUT any help. Another footstone!

After sitting up in a wheelchair for 4 1/2 hours, he had a 2 hour nap!

He is enjoying the interaction with other kids who are in similar predicaments.

Note the shoes! First time in over a month!
And the Wii remotes. A three-way battle on the screen to the left!
