Aidan Gets His Own Wheels!

A big thumbs up for Aunt Stacey and Uncle Rod.! Stacey stayed for the night shift. Note also his fancy left hand only wheelchair!

The problem of how to turn left is solved by a second ring which operates the right wheel and turns the chair left.

Operating both rings at the same time makes the chair go straight forward. Once Aidan is seatbelted into his chair he is on his own. He travels all over the ward. It is very secure, no stairs to fall down, no dangerous places. 

One of Aidan's favorite spots is the Wii room. If there is no one else to play with, or against, he plays against the computer.

Early in December two church and school families brought over a box of Advent presents, one for every day until Christmas.
So each day he gets a book to read, or a game to play immediately,
or one that he can look forward to playing once he is more fully mobile again.
