A Bit of Good News, and an Outing!

The first thing Aidan showed Jo and me on Monday morning was how he could move his right leg a couple of inches by bending it at the knee!
He grinned hugely as if he had kicked in the winning goal in a soccer game. This little bit of movement is like "the cloud as small as a man's hand rising from the sea" after Elijah's seventh prayer indicating the rains were coming and the drought was over. (1 Kings 18:45)
Getting Aidan ready for a ride in the wheelchair.

The physiotherapists get Aidan to do as much of the work of moving himself as possible,  then lift him the rest of the way.

This was the first time he got to leave his bed and ride out of the room in a wheelchair for some fun. The other three times in the past three weeks, he left, lying on a gurney and headed for surgery on his head. A big difference to him, and to grandpa and grandma!

Finally, an ice cream cone, and some dill pickle potato chips. Life is good.
