Aidan underwent a battery of tests when he arrived in Emergency after having a cluster of seizures on Friday morning. The results of all the tests are, there is nothing wrong, no symptoms of infection, no problems with the brain, nothing wrong anywhere the doctors looked.
"Just a hiccup," is how the surgeon described the seizures. No problem, and if they occur again the nurses at the Glenrose Rehab hospital have been given instructions on what to do instead of sending him off to Emergency.
Since on Friday night he was all hooked up with electrodes the doctors thought they might as well do a couple of days of data gathering over the weekend which is why he stayed at the Stollery Children's Hospital telemetry room for these days.
Whew! That is a relief to all of us. Thank you, great Healer. Aidan felt well and was in good spirits all day Sunday when Jo and I looked after him, (and watched an exciting movie with him.) He will return to the Glenrose via ambulance van around noon on Monday to restart his normal rehabilitation routine.
Aidan read all the notes and comments on the blog, Facebook and via email that I printed out, and he felt very encouraged so many of you are praying for him.
