Aidan does not think about what he has lost while he is distracted and busy with therapy sessions, school lessons and video games or movies. When it is time to sleep, however, his mind switches to thinking about what he has lost and he begins to feel lonely for his family, for his school friends and he gets depressed. He realizes that although he is improving in control and strength he still has a very, very long way to go. He misses going to his regular school. When he has an occasional seizure he is afraid they are starting all over again. He is still processing his loss and going through the stages of grief. Thank you for praying for him.
When his therapy session took him into the swimming pool for the first time he shouted delightedly, "This is the first time I've been in a swimming pool for months and months!"
First some right arm exercises.

Hi Aidan!
How cool is water therapy! Looks like fun.
So glad that we live in a place where you are able to get such wonderful care.
I bet you're pretty tired after you "swim". Keep working hard and remember what Dory (think Finding Nemo) says, "Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!"
Awesome work Aidan, we are so proud of you. Keep working hard and sooner than later you will be home hanging out and playing with your friends. Take care and God Bless.
