Day Four and Day Five

The PICC line is installed and working well, praise the Lord. On Saturday, Aidan was up and was walking around the ward, even went to the Stollery play room and played some pretty serious foosball with his dad and other visitors! 

Aidan is Up and Doing What He Loves to Do: Have Fun

Obviously Aidan is feeling good, the incisions are healing well, and it looks like he'll be discharged from hospital on Monday morning. 

Immediately after lunch time on Monday, he has an appointment at the home care clinic in the Stony Plain hospital where Cheryl will be instructed on how to care for the PICC line, the pump, and the changing of the bags of antibiotic he will be receiving day and night for the next three months. Keep praying that this aggressive treatment will, this time, kill all the antibiotic resistant bacteria in his body. 

Pray too, that he will be able to catch up on school work. He will be home for a few days to further recover and get used to the PICC line before going back to school.
