Aidan’s school, Living Waters Christian Academy had a fundraiser competition selling magazine subscriptions. The winning class would win a party of their choice. Individuals could also win prizes depending on the points each person earned.
Aidan’s class took the sales lead and retained it, winning the party of their choice. They wanted to have the party with Aidan at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. The Glenrose staff approved, and last Friday Aidan’s class came for the afternoon. They had tours of the facility, and doughnuts in the dining room. Aidan was very happy. The Glenrose staff, by the way, was favourably impressed by the young students who were not only well-behaved but asked good questions.
Aidan also entered the competition and sold subscriptions via email, trying to get 75 points to earn an i-Pod Touch. His friends in his class heard about Aidan’s goal and many of them donated the points they had earned to Aidan to make sure he could get a good prize. His points totaled 122! Enough for the i-Pod Touch and other prizes! Aidan felt over the top loved and happy.
